Our collaboration with CARE reflects our commitment to global humanitarian efforts. Since its founding in 1945, CARE has been a leading force in the fight against global poverty and social injustice. CARE operates in over 100 countries, working to build resilient communities by addressing both immediate needs and the underlying causes of poverty. Their approach combines emergency response, development programs and advocacy to create sustainable change and improve the lives of millions worldwide.

In celebration of our 100th anniversary, we have set an ambitious goal to raise EUR 100,000 for CARE. This initiative reflects our corporate values and extends an invitation to everyone to contribute to this vital cause. We encourage our employees, partners and the broader community to join us in this effort.

The funds raised will enhance CARE’s ability to provide life-saving assistance and support sustainable development in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions.

The Give a Hand initiative is central to deugro’s local community engagement. This program empowers our employees to identify cost-saving opportunities, which are then directed into a monthly raffle. Each month, two offices are selected through this raffle to receive USD 2,500, which they then donate to local charities of their choice. This approach ensures that our contributions are meaningful and tailored to the specific needs of each community.

Charities are chosen through a collaborative process, whereby employees nominate those organizations that they feel are making a meaningful impact. These nominations are carefully reviewed to align with our values of empathy, sustainability and social justice.

Here are some of the charities that we have supported through our Give a Hand initiative:

deugro Philippines has provided support to the Haven for Children, an organization dedicated to caring for abandoned and neglected children, and to the Mary Mother of Mercy Foundation, which provides assistance to elderly women. Furthermore, essential supplies were provided to TAGPI and Furiends, an animal shelter committed to the care, protection and rehabilitation of abandoned and neglected animals.

The UK office contributed to The White Lodge Centre, which provides vital care and therapy for children with disabilities. Additionally, support was extended to Suffolk Mind, an organization dedicated to mental health, and to Felixstowe Seafarers Centre, which offers essential services to seafarers.

deugro Malaysia contributed to the Rita Welfare Home, which cares for orphans and individuals with disabilities. They also supported the Malaysian Medical Relief Society (MERCY), which provides emergency medical aid and humanitarian assistance in disaster areas, and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), which rescues and rehabilitates abused and abandoned animals.

Our deugro Japan office supported the Notojima Association for the Promotion of Regional Development, aiding earthquake recovery efforts on the Noto Peninsula.

In Shanghai, our efforts benefited a local NGO dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism, providing them with professional rehabilitation training.

The deugro USA office chose to support two rescue organizations: the Meadow Horse Haven Rescue and Sanctuary and the Montgomery County Animal Services. Both organizations are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals such horses, dogs and cats.
