Which is why we have always positioned ourselves as proud allies. Honoring the LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating diversity and reinforcing our commitment to inclusion is part of our daily efforts and how we reaffirm our dedication to creating an environment in which everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to be their true selves.

We foster a positive and inclusive environment

As a family-owned global company, our culture serves as the foundation of our operations, and we believe in creating a supportive environment where every individual is cherished and valued as an essential member of our extended family.

For this reason, during Pride Month, we took the time to learn from each other and celebrate the unique contributions that each individual brings to deugro by organizing various events in deugro’s local branches. For that purpose, we provided a platform for employees to express themselves in a positive and supportive environment, promoting allyship and strengthening our sense of community and teamwork.

Continuous education and training

At deugro, our commitment to workplace equality extends far beyond Pride Month. Our teams conduct ongoing training programs focused on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and on understanding unconscious bias.

As part of this ongoing effort, we introduced the Building Bridges initiative. This initiative includes a series of actions designed to provide insights into and training on DEI. DEI consists of interconnected concepts that work together to promote a safe working environment that is free of stereotyping and mistreatment, that celebrates differences, promotes fairness and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.

Addressing discrimination

We are proactive in combating all forms of discrimination within the workplace, whether based on sexual orientation, age, gender, gender identity, disability, social status, ethnicity, race, religion, national origin, skills or interests. By raising awareness about unconscious bias, we strive to shift our collective mindset to focus on the unique qualities each individual brings to the table.

In addition to our long-standing ethics and compliance structure, one of our key initiatives in this effort is the deugro group Women’s Network. This network organizes panel discussions and networking events, and provides development opportunities aimed at raising awareness and supporting the empowerment of women in the workplace.
