deugro Delivers Three Urgent Air Charters from Italy to Saudi Arabia
deugro successfully delivered 13 plant components by three consecutive AN-124-100 air charter flights from Italy and Belgium to Saudi Arabia within just seven days.
deugro received the BIFA Project Forwarding Award for the successful delivery of 155 breakbulk shipments of critical oversized and heavy lift (OSHL) components, with a volume of 178,287 freight tons, on 55 chartered heavy lift vessels in times of widespread, ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions, coupled with skyrocketing freight rates and severely limited vessel capacities.
To meet the rapidly increasing demand for sustainably generated energy, and its associated need for sophisticated logistics concepts for the storage and transport of components, deugro and NORDFROST are pooling their strengths in a strategic cooperation.
The cargo contained eight diverter dampers measuring 495 x 470 x 465 centimeters and weighing 15 metric tons each. The units were shipped from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to two thermoelectric plants in Bolivia. deugro’s special transport solution involving the use of a low-bed trailer led to the project being awarded to deugro and to cost savings for the client by avoiding civil works.

deugro moved four LNG tanks with a unit weight of 225.4 metric tons and dimensions of 48.93 x 5.8 x 6 meters from the manufacturer’s yard in Decin, Czech Republic via the Port of Hamburg, Germany to the construction site in the Caribbean Sea.
