Today we are happy to speak with Fawaz Hamza Mannan, the General Manager of the Abu Dhabi office at deugro UAE. He shares with us interesting insights into his work and deugro’s activities in the United Arab Emirates. Fawaz Hamza Mannan has been active in the logistics and project cargo industry for more than 20 years, spending most of his career in Abu Dhabi—and the past 12 of those years with deugro.
Can you shortly introduce deugro UAE?
In 2000, deugro UAE was founded in Dubai, followed by the opening of the second branch in Abu Dhabi in 2012. Today, deugro UAE employs over 100 project forwarding professionals. Last month, nearly just in time for deugro UAE’s 25th anniversary, we opened a new office in one of Dubai’s most innovative districts. Strategically located within 15 minutes of Jebel Ali Free Zone, Jebel Ali Port and DWC Airport, it strengthens our ability to serve clients with greater efficiency and presence.
Could you describe deugro UAE’s business focus and which services are most in demand among your clients? Do you provide any specialized services tailored to the local market?
We are part of deugro’s worldwide network, based on over a century of practical experience in managing the most complex turnkey projects for the most renowned EPC and OEMs across all major industries all over the world. So naturally, deugro UAE’s business focus revolves around end-to-end logistics solutions and delivering sophisticated freight forwarding and project logistics solutions for the most complex turnkey projects.
With decades of proven experience, well-coordinated teams and partners, and with a local approach, we at deugro UAE provide our clients the full spectrum of end-to-end logistics solutions—whether sophisticated, tailor-made solutions by ocean, land or air; the modularized transport of oversized and heavy components; general warehousing; customs brokerage; transport engineering; or onshore and offshore oil and gas fields and facilities services.
Moreover, we have recently invested in specialized marine assets. This investment has significantly enhanced our capabilities in executing complex projects and shipments, enabling us to deliver modularized construction and heavy lift logistics for large-scale projects, including offshore developments—a key differentiator in a market that increasingly favors asset-owned companies.

Consequently today, deugro UAE is likewise a leading provider of turnkey project solutions in these traditional industry segments, continuing to execute a wide range of related major large-scale projects.
As an experienced expert in the execution of complex turnkey projects and the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo, deugro UAE is furthermore deeply involved in many other industries. In particular rapidly growing industry sectors such as infrastructure and construction, as well as various renewable onshore and offshore energy projects—be it solar, wind, green hydrogen, cable connections, substations, deep-sea structures or energy storage. We are also increasingly engaged across a variety of different modularized offshore projects, utilizing our own specialized marine assets.
The UAE, like the wider Middle Eastern region, has become a critical player and driver in the project industry. Could you explain how long deugro has been actively involved in the UAE and the Middle Eastern regions handling projects for its clients, and how those clients benefit from this expertise?
deugro has been active in the Middle East for several decades, with a long-standing presence in the UAE that has allowed us to support some of the region’s most complex and strategic energy and infrastructure developments. Can you tell us something about current projects you are executing or that you have executed recently?
deugro UAE is currently engaged in many of the major projects across the UAE, working closely with most of the leading EPC contractors. We are actively supporting one of the region’s largest developments: the Hail & Ghasha onshore and offshore packages, MERAM, Borouge 4 , Harvest , BAB, the Al Dhafra OCGT IPP Project; and the LNG PPP Project; along with several key projects in Ruwais and Habshan. Our role goes beyond simple execution. We are not only delivering the projects but also creating the pathways that make successful delivery possible.
