deugro Donates 100,000 Euros to Humanitarian Organization
Hanau, Germany, February 3, 2025 – As part of its 100th anniversary celebrations in 2024, deugro raised 100,000 euros for the Humanitarian Organization CARE.
To support CARE (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere) and to make a positive difference through the organization’s activities, deugro launched its “100K for 100 Years!” campaign in 2024. With fundraising activities organized by its worldwide offices and with personal donations, the goal of raising 100,000 euros over the last year was achieved. Over 200 individuals or groups of individuals contributed generously, so that the campaign could be successfully concluded on January 1, 2025.
“We raised money at every stop of our international 100-year anniversary roadshow. We held office events, pizza parties and special fundraisers. The willingness of our colleagues, clients and partners to donate was overwhelming. We are deeply grateful for deugro’s and its partners’ commitment to making a positive difference and impact, and for everyone who has supported us along the way,” said Ann-Cathrin van Looy, Head of Global Sustainability, at deugro.
“deugro’s collaboration with CARE has a long history and goes back to 1949. On the day the Berlin Blockade was lifted deugro was the first forwarder that sent truckloads from Frankfurt to Berlin full of CARE aid packages to those German citizens affected by the blockade. With the huge success of our recent fundraising collaboration with CARE, we are grateful to be able to build on this legacy and our hundred year anniversary,” said Thomas C. Press, owner of deugro.
In 2024, CARE International worked in 121 countries and reached 53 million people in need. Since 2023, deugro group has also been an emergency-aid partner of CARE, supporting people in the event of a sudden onset of natural disasters, protracted and complex crises, as well as public health emergencies.
