Creating Impact That Lasts

Sustainability Milestones and Outlook for 2026

2025 was a year of progress and purpose for deugro. Across our People, Planet, and Principles pillars, we took bold steps toward a more sustainable future. To reflect on these achievements and share what’s next, we spoke with Ann-Cathrin van Looy, Head of Global Sustainability, who leads our global sustainability strategy and ensures these pillars remain at the heart of everything we do.

A Landmark Moment: Our First Sustainability Report

Before diving into the details, one of the biggest highlights deserves special mention:

“Publishing our first Sustainability Report was more than a milestone—it was a statement of transparency and accountability,” says Ann-Cathrin.

This report provides a comprehensive overview of our progress and reinforces our commitment to responsible business practices.

Putting People First

From mental health initiatives to global wellbeing programs, our people remained at the heart of our sustainability journey.

“Mental health and wellbeing were front and center. We enhanced our OpenUp resources, engaged Mental Wellbeing Ambassadors, and rolled out training formats to foster resilience and psychological safety. The positive feedback from our wellbeing survey showed we’re moving in the right direction.”

Beyond wellbeing, employee development programs expanded, and the Moving Mountains for CARE challenge combined fitness with fundraising for humanitarian projects.

Protecting Our Planet

Environmental responsibility remained a priority as we worked to reduce our footprint and improve operational efficiency.

“We advanced environmental responsibility by improving Scope 3 emissions tracking and integrating sustainability practices into daily operations,” says Ann-Cathrin.

We also achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification, confirming our structured, risk-based approach to information security. Additionally, we improved our EcoVadis rating and earned recognition for Diversity and Inclusion at the Global Sustainability Awards.

Principles That Guide Us

Integrity and accountability are non-negotiable at deugro. In 2025, we strengthened compliance frameworks and ethical standards.

“Compliance and integrity remained key priorities. One highlight was the global celebration of Compliance Week,” Ann-Cathrin notes.
These efforts ensure sustainability is embedded in every decision we make.

Looking Ahead: Priorities for 2026

What’s next for deugro? Our ambition is clear: embed sustainability even deeper into our operations.

“The focus will remain on employee wellbeing, with expanded mental health initiatives and new training formats,” Ann-Cathrin explains.

Other priorities include:

  • Adapting all office locations to renewable energy.
  • Refining Scope 3 emissions tracking for greater accuracy.
  • Maintaining strong compliance and integrity frameworks.

Partnerships That Make a Difference

Partnerships amplify our impact and 2026 will bring even more collaboration.

“Our long-standing collaboration with CARE will remain a cornerstone. We have exciting new campaigns planned to engage employees worldwide,” says Ann-Cathrin.

She also reveals an upcoming environmental cleanup initiative aimed at reducing pollution and restoring natural habitats.

“Beyond global partnerships, we’ll continue supporting local collaborations to create tangible impact close to home.”
