Bremen, Germany – October 15, 2025 — deugro is proud to announce the successful completion of its global donation and fitness initiative, Moving Mountains for CARE, which raised €50,000 through employee participation through the Move Republic App.
The campaign ran from August 1 to September 30, inviting employees across all deugro offices to convert physical activity—walking, cycling, running, and more—into donation points via the Move Republic app. Every step taken and every activity logged contributed to a shared goal: supporting CARE’s humanitarian aid around the world.
“This campaign was about movement with meaning,” said Ann-Cathrin van Looy, Head of Global Sustainability. “We saw colleagues from every region come together to make a real difference. It’s a powerful reflection of our values and our global spirit.”
About the Partnership with CARE
The partnership between deugro and CARE has deep roots. At the end of the Berlin Blockade in 1949, deugro’s trucks were among the first to deliver CARE packages to the people of Berlin. Building on this historic connection, deugro officially became an emergency-aid partner of CARE in 2023, supporting rapid response efforts to humanitarian crises, natural disasters, and public health emergencies.
Today, deugro continues to support CARE through flexible funding that enables fast, needs-based responses in regions such as Ukraine, Syria, and Sudan. “Thanks to partners like deugro, we can be on the ground within 72 hours, wherever help is needed,” said Judith Albert, Corporate Partnership Manager at CARE Germany.
